Begonia mashanica, grows on limestone hills and entrances to limestone caves and forests in Guangxi, China. A medium-sized species, the leaf color varies as they emerge, starting mahogany red tinted with pronounced white marginal hairs, then turning more greenish as it matures. The horseshoe-shaped, thick leaf has a darker green centre and band around it.
This kind prefer greenhouse/terrarium conditions.
